College Management has appointed a high
profile person Dr. Binay Kumar as Director/Principal of
the Institution. He is graduated in Mechanical Engineering
in June 1986 under Institute of Engineers (India) & did
his M.Tech. in Industrial Engineering and Management in
January 1990. He was awarded Ph.D. on the topic, “Optimization
of maintenance policy for a fleet of earthmoving machines” under
the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian School
of Mines, Dhanbad in January 2000.
Dr. Kumar served as Reader & Head
of Mechanical Engineering Department in Chhatrapati Shivaji
Institute of Technology, Durg, Chhattisgarh, and as a Professor
and Head in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at
Indo Global College of Engineering, Abhipur, Mohali, Punjab.
Dr. Kumar has organized three National seminars as convener:
Two National Seminars titled, “The recent Trends,
System, Technology and Maintenance Management in Engineering
and “ Advances in Renewable Energy resources ” and
third state level seminar titled, "Renewable Energy
Resources" in Mohali, Punjab. He has also organized
a Workshop as Coordinator titled, "Advances in Production
Management".
Dr. Kumar has published numbers of papers
in journals and presented number of papers in Seminars
and Conferences. He has attended number of Symposiums,
Workshop and Conferences.
Dr. Kumar has received an Appreciation award for Ph.D Degree on January 2000
awarded by the Director, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad and again an Appreciation
award on 6th September 2006 for the 'Improvement of the Students' Performance'
by Principal, CSIT. He is a member of many professional bodies.
