IT professionals perform a variety of functions (IT Disciplines/Competencies) that ranges from installing applications to designing complex computer networks and information databases. A few of the duties that IT professionals perform may include data management, networking, engineering computer hardware, database and software design, as well as management and administration of entire systems. Information technology is starting to spread further than the conventional personal computer and network technology, and more into integrations of other technologies such as the use of cell phones, televisions, automobiles, and more, which is increasing the demand for such jobs
The minimum eligibility for courses vary from course to course. For short-term certificate course the minimum eligibility is 10 +2 with Mathematics at least in Standard 10. For Diploma courses of six months to one-year duration you should be either graduate or pursuing graduation course. Long term Diploma course like Post-graduate Diplomas or Advanced Diploma courses require Graduates in any discipline.
For PGDCA or MCA one needs to be graduate apart from qualifying the entrance test. For M.Tech. one should be either B.Tech or MCA from recognised institution or university. One also needs to clear entrance test and or have a valid GATE score.
